ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Math starts to
make sense.

I bring a gentle, positive attitude and plenty of playful energy to math. We’ll find the support your student needs so they can ask questions, make mistakes and start to feel more capable.

01 / MATH SUPPORT

The right support,
right where it’s needed.

Carefully targeted scaffolding, wrapped up in positivity and playful energy.

I look closely at how your student approaches a problem so I can scaffold the parts that need support. Sometimes that means making one step visible, connecting an idea to something they already understand, or working through an example together before they try it themselves.

We make room to be confused, celebrate what’s clicking and gently work on the shame and negative self talk that can build up around math. I want students to feel comfortable showing me where they’re stuck, so we can work out what will actually help.

  • Find gaps in understanding and build from there
  • Break tricky problems into steps that make sense
  • Practice using those steps with greater independence

TEST PREPARATION

SSAT & SAT.
A plan you can work with.

The same thoughtful scaffolding and positive energy, with a test to prepare for.

Whether we’re preparing for the SSAT or SAT, I want students to understand what a question is asking, recognize what they already know and have a few reliable ways to get started.

We’ll use practice to find the places that need support, strengthen the underlying skills and develop a manageable plan for the time we have.

  • Targeted practice based on the student’s needs
  • Strategies for working through unfamiliar questions
  • Pacing, checking work and building confidence
  • Study habits students can use beyond test day

A FEW QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

A little more
about working together.

Can we combine schoolwork and test prep?

Yes! We can work on math, other schoolwork and SSAT or SAT preparation together. I’d like to understand your student’s goals and schedule so we can decide where to focus.

What if my child already feels bad about math?

That matters. I want to understand what has been frustrating and find a starting point where they can experience some success. We can build from there, with patience, encouragement and support that fits how they learn.

Do sessions take place online?

Yes. I work with students exclusively online, so they can join from home.

How do we get started?

Email me with your student’s grade level and a little about what you’d like to work on. If you’re looking for test prep, let me know whether it’s the SSAT or SAT and when you’re hoping to take it. We can talk through the next steps together.

LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER.

Let’s find your
next step.

Tell me a little about your student and what they’d like to work on.
We can start there.
